A rapidly growing industrial company with sales operations in various geographies reached out to Mentoro to redesign its organizational structure. In line with the company’s strategic activities and capabilities, alternatives such as cocoon and platform structures, alongside traditional pyramid structures, were identified. These alternatives were evaluated from the perspectives of agility, customer orientation, efficiency, and human resource development. As a result, a hybrid organizational structure that integrates pyramid, cocoon, and platform models was adopted. With the implementation of this structure, a shared goal-shared responsibility environment was established, internal collaboration increased, silo mentality decreased, and employees’ empowerment, ownership of work, and motivation were enhanced, making the organization faster, more flexible, and more agile.
