Dilek Bil graduated from Northport High School in New York and earned her BBA degree from the University of North Texas, USA.

She has 37 years of experience spanning both corporate and entrepreneurial ventures. She began her banking career at American Express Bank, BNP-AK-Dresdner Bank, and Société Générale. In 1994, she founded Kangaroo Communications, which she later restructured into “Purpose-Sustainable Ideas,” a sustainability consultancy agency. She is also a partner at the Mentoro Platform.

Dilek has served as Independent Board Member at Aydem Renewable Energy Co. and Akmerkez GYO, as well as Board Member of WWF Turkiye and UN Global Compact Turkiye. Her notable achievements include anchoring the live CNBC-e TV show Sürsün Bu Dünya to promote sustainable development, and she has received prestigious awards such as the Cavaliere dell’Ordine della Stella d’Italia from the President of Italy and the Women of the Decade in Media and Social Change from the Women Economic Forum.

She is actively involved in professional organizations, including UNSDSN, C40/Women 4 Climate, and the German Bioeconomy Council. Dilek also serves as President of Accademia Italiana della Cucina Istanbul Delegation and is a founding member of the Vine and Wine Association of Turkiye. She has previously served as the President of KAGIDER and a VP of FODER.

Dilek is a passionate swimmer who competes in the Bosphorus Cross-Continental Swimming Race. She is married and has one son.
