Selen Kocabaş graduated from Istanbul University with a degree in Economics (English) and completed her master’s degree in Human Resources Management and Organizational Behavior at Marmara University. She is fluent in English and French.
Mrs. Kocabaş began her career at Koç Holding as a Management Trainee and subsequently held HR and administrative roles at Arçelik and Marshall Boya.
From 2000 to 2003, she served as Assistant General Manager responsible for Human Resources and Administration at DanoneSA. She joined Turkcell in 2003, where she worked for 12.5 years in various senior leadership roles, including Chief Business Support Officer and Chief Corporate Business Officer. During her tenure, she managed Human Resources, Corporate Information Systems, Procurement, Contract Management, and Administrative Operations, while leading strategic initiatives such as organizational transformation and customer-centric innovations.
Currently, she serves as a Consultant to the Board of Directors at Simit Sarayı and as a Consultant Partner at Mentoro Platform.
Selen Kocabaş has received recognition for her contributions to business and human resources, including being the first woman chairperson of PERYÖN, Türkiye’s oldest HR association. She serves as an Independent Director for Akış Gayrimenkul Yatırım Ortaklığı A.Ş., a Board Member at MultinetUP Group, and a Board Member of several Turkcell subsidiaries.
She is also actively involved in women’s leadership organizations, including YKKD (Women on Board Association) as a founding member and board member, and IWF (International Women Forum).
Mrs. Kocabaş is married and has two children.
