Basak Tulga graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, with two BSc degrees in Economics and in Management Science.
Upon graduation, she worked for the prestigious management consulting firm The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), in San Francisco and in New York offices. At BCG, Basak worked with numerous clients in industries such as biopharmaceuticals, telecommunications, consumer products, financial institutions, and the public sector, focusing on business strategy, product strategy, growth strategy, post-merger integrations, change management and smart simplicity. She was continuously ranked among top performers in her cohort.
She returned to her home country, Turkey in the beginning of 2016 and co-founded Mentoro Platform. She is currently the director of the platform and she actively participates in business strategy, people and organization, digital transformation, and platform strategy related projects. She is also a Board Member at smartcon, Analytics Center, Istanbul Tech Week, and Angel Effect.
A former professional basketball team player, Basak played for Fenerbahce and the national team of Turkey as the team captain. She is also a solid Boston Celtics fan and is passionate about watching documentaries.
She is married with one daughter and one son.
